Description

Amazing burgers that are so juicy, you need a fork! Plus, they’re leaner and lighter than most!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Lean Ground Lamb
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ cups Bread Crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
  • 5 Tablespoons Fat Free Feta Cheese
  • 5  Whole Wheat Buns
  • Sliced Tomato, To Serve
  • Lettuce, To Serve
  • Mayonnaise, To Serve

Preparation

Spray a grill pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

In a large bowl, mix lamb, onion, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, egg, Worcestershire sauce and bread crumbs. Use your hands to mix well. If mixture is still really sticky, add additional bread crumbs.

Cover with plastic wrap and let marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Once done, remove from fridge. Shape meat into 5 large patties.

Place grill pan over a stove-top set on medium-high. Add patties and grill about 5 minutes on each side, or until a meat thermometer registers about 160ºF.

Serve with 1 tablespoon feta cheese on toasted buns with tomato, lettuce and mayo and enjoy!

Made these last night, omitting the pepper flakes for our 8 yr. old. Very tasty! Grilled them since we had no snow.

These were excellent burgers, even though I left out the pepper flakes to better suit my family. Served them on toasted whole wheat English muffins.
