Description

Marinated flank stake with a mushroom gravy.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cups Light Soy Sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Crushed Or Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
  • 1-½ pound Flank Steak
  • 8 ounces, weight Fresh Mushrooms, Sliced
  • 1-¼ cup Water
  • 1 package (about 1 Oz. Packet) Mushroom Gravy Mix

Preparation

1. In large ziplock, combine soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, olive oil, ginger, and black pepper.
2. Pierce flank steak with a fork all over, or score with a knife. Put in ziplock, toss around a bit, leave on the counter for an hour or so.
3. Put steak on a broiler pan and broil, flipping midway through. Aim to keep it about 3″ from the heat element, and it should cook about 6 minutes each side. You’re looking for a temperature of around 145ºF. Remove it from the oven, cover it with foil, and let it rest.
4. Use cooking spray on a medium skillet. Saute the mushrooms for about 2 minutes, then add the water and gravy mix. Bring to boil then simmer for 5 minutes or until thick.
5. Serve steak with gravy on top.
