Description

I found this recipe a while ago and just made a couple of tweaks to it. It has since become one of our family favorites.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cups Cooking Oil Or Olive Oil
  • 10  Boneless Chicken Breast Tenders
  • ½ cups Flour
  • ½ cups Maple Syrup
  • ⅓ cups Stone Ground Mustard
  • Rice, To Serve

Preparation

Heat oil in a skillet on medium heat. Dredge chicken in the flour and brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes each side. Place chicken in a 2-quart baking pan. In a small bowl, combine the syrup and mustard; pour over the chicken. Cover and cook at 350ºF for 40-45 minutes, or until meat is tender. Serve with rice.

Makes 5 servings.

This dish was excellent. My hubby usually doesn’t like “sweet” entrees, but he thought this was great. I did add salt and pepper to the mustard/syrup mixture and thought it was superb. Thx for sharing!

This was a good dish, but lacked a little spice for our taste. It was very easy to make, but the dish as a whole was a bit on the sweet side–maybe more mustard would help? Next time, we’ll add some more spice or more mustard to balance out the sweet. Thanks for sharing!

My husband and I thought this was really tasty, with a flavor that was surprisingly subtle. I loved how easy it was to prepare and will definitely make it again. Thanks for sharing!
