Description

A southern classic, great for summertime!

Ingredients

  • 6 quarts Water
  • ¾ cups Old Bay Seasoning
  • 2 pounds Red Potatoes
  • 2 pounds Smoked Sausage, Cut Into Chunks
  • 10 ears Corn, Husked And Quartered
  • 4 pounds Uncooked Shrimp (peel On)

Preparation

Bring water and seasoning to a full boil. Add potatoes and boil for 15 minutes. Add in sausage and cook for 5 minutes. Add corn, cook another 5 minutes. Finally, add shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 4 minutes. Drain pot and serve in a very large serving dish. Or to be traditional, pour onto a newspaper-covered table.

Serve with cocktail sauce, ketchup or melted butter and lemon wedge.

I only made half of what the recipe call for, and it was plenty for my household! Really easy and very tasty. Old Bay is now my new favorite seasoning!

I quartered the recipe and used my dutch oven. Easy to make and the entire family loved it. Will definitely being using this recipe again.
