Description

A delicious and super easy meal that’s ready in no time.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, Pounded Thin
  • 1 whole Egg
  • ¼ cups Flour
  • ½ cups Panko Breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cups Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • ¼ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Dried Basil
  • Salt And Pepper
  • ¾ cups Marinara Sauce
  • 4 slices Mozzarella Cheese
  • 4 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese, Shredded
  • Chopped Fresh Basil, For Garnish (optional)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Whisk the egg in a bowl and set aside. Mix the flour, panko, Parmesan, garlic and basil in a shallow dish and set aside. Salt and pepper both sides of your pounded chicken breasts, then dip the chicken first in the egg and then in the flour mixture. Place on the foil lined baking sheet. Bake for 16 minutes flipping once halfway through. Then remove it from the oven.

Into an 8×8 baking dish, pour 1/4 cup of the marinara sauce. Top it with the cooked chicken breast, then with the remaining marinara. Top with sliced mozzarella and 4 tablespoons of shredded Parmesan.

Bake for another 5-8 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the chicken is cooked through. Sprinkle with some chopped fresh basil.
