Description

A dinner ready in under a half hour? Yes, please! This is a very easy tilapia recipe that doesn’t hold back on flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Butter, Melted
  • 2 Tablespoons Panko Breadcrumbs
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 3 whole Tilapia Fillets
  • 4 pinches Old Bay Seasoning, Divided
  • ⅛ cups Fresh Parsley, Chopped
  • Cooking Spray (ex: Pam)

Preparation

1. Preheat your broiler. In a small bowl mix garlic, lemon juice, butter, panko and a few sprinkles of salt and pepper.

2. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray the foil with Pam, or any cooking spray. Place tilapia fillets on the tray and sprinkle with Old Bay. Put it into the oven and broil (525 F) for 2-4 minutes, or until fish is cooked.

3. Take the fillets out of the oven, flip, sprinkle with Old Bay and broil again until white, another 2+ minutes.

4. Take the fillets out again and spoon lemon-garlic mixture on top of each one. Broil until the topping is golden.

5. Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

This sounds really good. I live in an area where fresh fish are abundant and the “man” catches some almost every day, so I’m going to try this with Walleye Fillets instead of the Tilapia. I think it will be great!

That’s a great suggestion, I’ll try it your way next time!

I tried this recipe tonight for dinner and the tilapia was baked perfectly! It was moist and delicious! The only suggestion I have is to mix the bread crumbs with the garlic, lemon, and butter mixture at the last moment before you put it over the filets, otherwise the crumbs get pretty soggy. I will be trying this out again!
