Fresh basil and lemon create a light and fresh flavor in this yummy chicken dish.
Combine everything in a gallon Ziploc bag. Zip the top and give it all a good mix and massage the marinade into the chicken. Allow it to sit for at least 1 hour but I let mine sit all day in the fridge to develop more flavor.
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
Bake chicken in the remaining marinade for 20 minutes in an oven safe baking dish.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Cook chicken for 2-3 minutes per side to give it a sear on each side. You can cook the chicken all the way in the oven but I like my chicken to have a bit more color so that’s why I went this route.
