Description

Yummy way to use your Thanksgiving leftovers.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Thick Sandwich Bread
  • 1 pound Leftover Sliced Turkey
  • ¼ cups Leftover Cranberry Sauce
  • ½ pounds Brie Cheese, Sliced
  • 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, Softened Plus Extra If Desired

Preparation

Lay 4 slices of bread on your work surface and top with a few slices of leftover cooked turkey. Spread cranberry sauce over the turkey slices, then cover that with 2 to 3 slices of brie, enough to cover the turkey and cranberry sauce. Top the sandwiches with remaining 4 slices of bread. Spread softened butter on outer sides of the sandwich.

Heat a large cast-iron or other heavy skillet over medium-low heat. Once it’s hot add the sandwiches and cook 2 to 3 minutes until the bread is golden brown on one side and the cheese begins to melt. Flip and cook 2 to 3 more minutes to brown the other side of the sandwich. Brush on more butter if needed. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve hot. Makes 4 generous sandwiches.
