Description

A scrumptious and original burger with lamb and red onions.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE PATTIES:
  • 10 ounces, weight Lamb, Boneless
  • ½ bunches Fresh Cilantro
  • ½ bunches Fresh Mint
  • Salt And Pepper
  • FOR THE YOGHURT SAUCE:
  • 4 ounces, weight Natural Yoghurt
  • 1 pinch Cilantro Powder
  • 1 pinch Caraway Powder
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 2 pinches Ginger Powder
  • FOR THE ASSEMBLY:
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 1 whole Red Onion, Peeled And Chopped
  • 2  Buns
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Cilantro, Chopped, For Garnishing
  • 4 leaves Lettuce

Preparation

Cut the lamb into medium pieces and place in a blender with fresh cilantro, mint, salt and pepper. Blend it roughly. Form 2 lamb patties out of the mixture using your hands.

Mix yoghurt with cilantro, caraway, turmeric and ginger powders. Add salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Warm olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add onions and let them saute for 5 minutes. Add the patties and cook them 5 minutes on each side, or until the lamb is completly cooked.

Put the buns into the oven at 350°F (180°C) for 5 minutes.

Spread the buns with yoghurt mixture. Put the patties, red onions, fresh cilantro and some salad leaves on the buns.

Sounds good! We need a bit of help. You have the measurement for the onion as ‘wheel’. Did you mean whole? Or do you just mean a thick slice of it? Please fix this.

Also, please clarify the yogurt line. You say 1 ‘whole’ yogurt. If you mean 1 container of yogurt, please modify the measurement. And also, please make sure to include the package size on that ingredient line. So if you’ll enter the line as follows, this will ensure that folks get the right amounts of the packaged items when/if they use our system to multiply the recipe: 2 – cans – Cream of Chicken Soup (10 ounce cans) …

We’ve got a lot of members overseas, in places where packaging varies. So if you’ll make sure to include package sizes on all recipe submittals it would be really helpful.
