Description

Easy turkey lasagna.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Parsley
  • 1-½ teaspoon Dried Italian Seasoning
  • ⅛ teaspoons Dried Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (or 2 Tablespoons Fresh)
  • ¾ teaspoons Dried Crushed Fennel Seeds
  • ½ teaspoons Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Minced Onions
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 9 ounces, weight No Boil Lasagna Noodles (1 Package)
  • 2 jars (26 Ounce Jars) Pasta Sauce
  • 3 cups Mozzarella Cheese, Divided
  • 16 ounces, weight Ricotta
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Parsley

Preparation

Take the raw ground turkey and the next 9 ingredients (black pepper, parley, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, fennel seeds, paprika, minced onions, salt). Mix well and place in the fridge overnight to make your turkey sausage mix.

The next day, in a medium skillet, brown the turkey sausage mix over medium heat until crumbly and brown. Place in a crock pot.

Take the no boil noodles and split each one in half.

Add the rest of the ingredients (pasta sauce, cheeses, and parsley), reserving 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese for topping. Mix everything up together and stir to combine.

Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. Five minutes before serving, top with the remaining cup of mozzarella cheese. Cover to melt the cheese.

Serve.

This did not turn out for me. It was really dry, and the no boil lasagna turned out really pasty. If I make it again, I’ll either use regular pasta, add it later than the rest of the ingredients, or both.
