Description

A good casserole for the wintertime. I am not a huge onion fan so I don’t add very much and I usually end up adding a little more bbq sauce and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 16 ounces, weight Can Of Pork And Beans
  • ¾ cups BBQ Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Minced Onions
  • 1 can Biscuits
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Preparation

Brown the ground beef; drain excess grease. Put back in skillet along with the pork & beans, bbq sauce, brown sugar, and onion. Heat until bubbly. Pour into a 9×13 dish. Spinkle cheese on top. Cut biscuits in half and place on top of of the cheese, cut side down. I usually sprinkle a little cheese on top of the biscuits.

Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

I tried this recipe tonight and it was very good. I doubled the recipe, so we could have leftovers. I used a whole onion, spicy bar-b-que sauce, but I left out the extra brown sugar. My husband gave a thumbs up, which is saying something. Definitely a keeper.
