I am so glad I found this recipe. It’s incredibly easy, and unbelievably delicious. An immediate hit whenever and wherever I make it. I’ll be using this for game day chicken wings!

I absolutely LOVE this recipe, however I used strawberry preserves instead of apricot and used boneless chicken breasts. It is the perfect balance of sweet and hot. Yum yum yum!

I have made this twice now, the first time i messed up and did not cook the sauce first, but this time i followed the instructions exactly and it was still a very bland tasting dish. The sauce never thickened up and i cooked it a little longer and cranked up the temp to 400. this dish smells really good while cooking but something is missing to give it that wow factor. would definitely not make this again.

We absolutely loved these, but it took mine a lot longer than 45 minutes to cook (over an hour and I had to turn the oven up at one point). Either way though, my fiance told me that I really brought my “A” game at dinner tonight, so this one is definitely a keeper!

REALLY tasty! The sauce is awesome!!! Easy and already had everything on hand, just needed to buy the chicken! Will definitely make again!

Always a hit. I’ve also done it with the mango peach preserves. I use Frank’s.

I made them, Teri…and I loved them! Really good, really sweet and savory and spicy. Yum!

These look and sound delicious! Have you ever made them with the skin off of the legs?

Ree, I cannot tell you how honored I am that you have chosen a recipe we love so much! To be on Pioneer Woman and Tasty Kitchen is beyond a dream come true.
Thank you so very much, and for the incredible websites you put your heart and soul into. They are so enjoyable and appreciated!

Babskitchen, I have never made the drumsticks without the skin, but think it would work just fine! Be sure to baste with the sauce. Let us know if you make them!

Sounds great Teri!!! How long would you have to bake them if you used wings/drummettes? I am just not a leg person but love wing things!!!

Made these and tripled the hot pepper sauce, they were way sweet without it. Going to try grilling and basting them next time and maybe adding a little cayenne.

Gwenmills, I would bake them the same time…or until your thermometer reaches 180*. Most of my wing recipes take 40-60 minutes, so this should work out well. Be sure to baste…they should get a wonderful glaze on them. Hope you enjoy them! Please let us know how they turn out if you make them…I have to try this, too!

I’m thinking this would be good for those oh-so-economical bags of thighs I just purchased and wondered how to make this week. Be okay, ya think? Same 3 lbs?

Teri – these are the big honker legs, right? They sound great and I’ll try them this weekend.
Way to go on a great recipe!

I’m trying this recipe tonight. It looks so yummy. I’m so excited to find a recipe where I already have all the ingredients in the house!! Yay! The only change is that I’ll be using plum jam instead of apricot, but I bet it will still be good, eh? Thanks for the recipe!
