Description

Hamburger Helper made from scratch. Super fast and delicious and everyone will love it.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Granulated Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Minced Dried Onions
  • 2 Tablespoons Dried Parsley
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons Beef Bouillon Granules
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Gravy Powder, From A Package Of Brown Gravy Mix
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 2 pounds Lean Ground Beef
  • 8 ounces, fluid Can Tomato Sauce
  • 2-½ cups Chicken Stock
  • 2-½ cups Water, Use 3 Cups If You Like It Really Saucy
  • 2 cups Elbow Macaroni

Preparation

In a bowl mix all of the spices, bouillon granules, gravy powder and cornstarch and set aside.

In a large pan or stock pot brown ground beef on medium high until completely cooked.

Add the spice mix and stir to coat the meat. Add the tomato sauce and stir to combine. Add the chicken stock and water (2-1/2 cups but up to 3 total if you like it really saucy) and mix well.

Add the macaroni and stir to combine. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and cook, covered, for 15 minutes or until the pasta is tender. Be sure to stir every few minutes so the pasta doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan.

Serve with bread and a salad. Yummy!

Serves 8 or more depending on your appetite. Enjoy!

If you want to only serve 4 – 6 Here are the reductions: use only 1 pound of ground beef; only 2 cups water; only 2 cups chicken stock; and only 1-1/2 cups elbow macaroni. Everything else stays the same.
