Description

These little sandwiches are so yummy packed with ham, smoked cheddar, Swiss cheese and the most delicious poppy seed sauce drizzled over the top! Beware, they are very addicting! Also, this recipe is perfect for using up all that leftover ham!

Ingredients

  • 8 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • 2 Tablespoons Dry Onion, Minced (I Use Lipton Soup)
  • 1 Tablespoon Yellow Mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons Poppy Seeds
  • 12 pieces Kings Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • ½ pounds Ham (leftover Sliced Ham Or Deli Ham)
  • 6 slices Baby Swiss Cheese
  • 6 slices Smoked Cheddar

Preparation

Mix together the melted butter, onion, mustard, and poppy seeds and set aside. Slice all of your rolls in half and layer with a slice of ham and one slice of cheese ( I like to make 6 sandwiches with Swiss cheese and 6 sandwiches with smoked cheddar. You can do all Swiss or all cheddar, it’s up to you.)

Place the sandwiches into a 9×13 baking dish. Drizzle the butter/onion mixture over the top of the rolls. Place in the oven at 325ºF and bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

These are so good! We love them for a quick easy dinner. I line my 9×13 pan with foil to contain the mess. Clean up is so much easier this way.

This was SO good! My entire family loved it! I will definitely make these again. It was helpful to find a yummy recipe to use up my leftover Easter ham.
