Description

Very easy and tasty grilled shrimp recipe. The roasted garlic is just perfect for the sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 head Garlic
  • 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil, Or More As Needed
  • 1-½ pound Shrimp
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 cup Chopped Cilantro
  • 1  Lemon, Juiced
  • 1 Tablespoon Dry White Wine
  • 1 Tablespoon Pepper Flakes

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF. Drizzle garlic with olive oil. Roast in preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Let cool. Crush and peel the fragrant garlic.

Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Set aside. Meanwhile , prepare garlic cilantro sauce by combining cilantro, lemon juice, white wine , olive oil , pepper flakes and roasted garlic in a small bowl. Whisk together. Set aside.

Heat grill pan, cast iron skillet, or grill and drizzle with olive oil. Drizzle shrimp with a little bit of olive oil, too. Grill shrimp but do not overcook.

After grilling, transfer shrimp into a separate bowl and pour in a good amount of the garlic cilantro sauce. You can save some of the sauce for dipping.

Serve with white or brown rice. It’s also great with a bowl of salad!

Is the 4 Tbsp of olive oil strictly for the sauce? I ask because I feel I used too much
