Description

I am grilling tonight, and I am grilling one of my favorites meats. Baby back pork ribs! Recipe requires about 12 hours of marinating so plan ahead!

Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 3 teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Cayenne
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 4 pounds Babyback Ribs
  • 1 bottle (16 Oz. Size) Your Favorite BBQ Sauce, Use As Much As Desired For Basting

Preparation

Combine all the dry ingredients (salt through brown sugar) in a small bowl. Then rub the pork ribs with the spice rub and wrap the ribs tightly in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 8-12 hours.

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Remove the plastic wrap and wrap ribs in aluminum foil. Bake ribs for about two hours. Remove ribs from oven, drain any liquid from the foil wrappers and cool ribs completely. Wrap ribs in new foil and chill completely.

Cold ribs will keep their shape when they are returned to the grill to be finished with BBQ sauce.

I use a gas grill so I typically cook my ribs at a high heat setting. Depending on your grill you may want to adjust your temperature for its best grilling conditions.

Remove your cooked ribs from the refrigerator, discard the foil wrapper and place your ribs on the grill. Baste often with the sauce of your choice—either homemade or purchased.

The ribs should begin to develop a beautiful gloss after about 10 minutes. At this point place them on a serving platter, separate the ribs and serve with additional sauce.
