Made this tonight, it was yummy! The Lemon is great and of course heavy cream and parmesan cheese make this great comfort food. I used fresh basil from the garden! Great recipe!

Ree’s blog post (http://tastykitchen.com/cooking/2010/07/grilled-chicken-with-lemon-basil-pasta) listed FOUR lemons, this recipe lists THREE.
I made this from the BLOG POST. Too find out more, see here…

Mine didn’t turn out as well as Ree’s… I’m giving it 4 mitts even though mine wasn’t nearly that. It was my fault not Ree’s.
After swinging into action on failure I was able to salvage a tasty dish, but still too lemony for some.

I sauteed some shrimp in butter and lemon juice and paired the with the pasta, I honestly don’t think I’ve ever made something I liked so much! The perfect summer supper!

I’d probably give this a 5 if I hadn’t messed up… I accidently put in all of the pasta water, when I told myself not to and it was one runny, runny mess. It still had good flavor, but it wouldn’t stick to the noodles. I do love how light and fresh it is for a summer meal!

The dish all in all turned out great and deserves 5 stars, however I did have a problem thus the 4 stars.
*Chicken turned out great. I marinaded it for a couple of hours in 3T olive oil, juice of 1 lemon, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
*The Problem – I started the sauce with the butter and 2 lemons (Hubby not a HUGE lemon fan so I cut back by one and it was a perfect, hint of flavor). As soon as I added the “milks” the whole thing seperated and when I added the Parm it got even worse! Gloppy, gooey mess! To try and save it I first tried a little pasta water and no go. As a last ditch effort I disolved a little corn starch in water and added that. It fixed the problem perfectly. I was able to whisk out all of the lumps and bumps and then used a little pasta water to bring it to the perfect consistancy.
*Other than this one problem, it was amazing and there was not a bite left!

Like Slpatters, I used the four lemons as listed on the PW version — it was waaay too lemony. Otherwise, the pasta was super delicious!

made this tonight for dinner, and it was SOOOOO good! Added a little bit of crushed red pepper because we like spice, but otherwise kept it the same! Will definitely be making this again whenever I have fresh basil to use up!

I made this for dinner Friday night–DELISH! I used three lemons and romano cheese instead of parm. I missed the marinating step and just salted and peppered the chicken before grilling–still yummy. I’m sure the marinade would have made it even better. Will definitely make again.

I wasn’t super impressed. It tasted okay but the sauce had a very weird texture…very gritty. Not sure if that was my fault or not? It was also really runny and not thick and cheesy like in Ree’s blog pictures.

My husband made this tonight. It was delish.
I marinated the chicken for 4-5 hours in olive oil, juice of two lemons, spoonful of local honey, two squirts of Dijon mustard and generous pinches of salt.
The chicken turned out great with a hint of lemony goodness. Even the two year old loved it.
My husband made the pasta and forgot to keep out some of the pasta water, so we didn’t have a nice smooth sauce, but that was okay. It tasted divine anyway. He also added a tomato from our garden to the sauce. This was a nice addition.
I don’t think my older daughters will like this, but I sure want to have it again. My husband and I both loved it.

made this tonight for dinner and it was SOOO good! I only used 3 lemons and definitely needed the entire cup of left over pasta water to smooth things out at the end. The ingredients compliment each other perfectly and nothing is overpowering. It’s light, lemony, and delish! Great Summer dish! Thanks Ree!
