Description

My favorite sandwich of all time. Soft wheat bread that’s toasted on the inside and layered with grilled chicken, avocado, sprouts, bacon and tomato and slathered with a homemade honey mustard dressing.

Ingredients

  • ½ whole Grilled Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
  • 2 slices Fresh Soft Wheat Sandwich Bread
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 2 slices Bacon (cooked)
  • ½ whole Sliced Avocado
  • 1 Tablespoon Alfalfa Sprouts
  • 2 slices Vine-ripened Tomatoes
  • 1 Tablespoon (Real) Mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Honey

Preparation

Grill chicken breast. Slice into strips.

Slice avocado and tomato. Cut bacon strips in half.

Butter one side only of the bread slices. Grill in pan until nicely browned.

In a small bowl, mix together mayo, mustard and honey.

To assemble the sandwich, place grilled sides of the bread so they’ll be facing inside the sandwich. On one slice of bread, layer on bacon, then chicken. Slather honey mustard on the toasted side of the other slice of bread. Layer on tomatoes, avocados and sprouts.

Put both sides together and slice down middle. Yum!

This was a very good sandwich! It is not very often that I can find something my whole family likes, but they all loved this. I think that perhaps next time I might skip buttering and grilling the bread because I think we would like it just as well without the extra fat.
