Description

Green chilies, ground beef, cheese and grilled onions, what could be better?

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 can Green Chiles, 6 Ounce
  • 4 Tablespoons Minced Onion
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ⅛ teaspoons Pepper
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 whole Small Yellow Onion, Sliced
  • 4 slices Pepper Jack Or Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 4 whole Hamburger Buns

Preparation

Combine first 6 ingredients in bowl and mix together well, then divide into 4 equal parts and form into patties.

Slice onion. Add olive oil to frying pan, heat to medium heat, add onions and cook just until onions are brown. Set aside.

You can grill the burgers, fry them or use your George Forman. I used the George! Cook approximately 7 minutes, then remove from heat and add a slice of jack cheese.

You can toast the buns or leave them the way they are. Put a pattie on the bun, top with 2 tablespoons onions, a dab of mayo and dijon mustard. Enjoy, serve with French fries or your favorite side.
