Description

A smokin’ delicious grilled chicken that is so moist and seasoned to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • ½ teaspoons Red Chili Pepper Flakes
  • ¼ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme Leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Leaves
  • 1 whole Organic Chicken (4-5 Lbs)
  • ¼ cups Olive Oil
  • ½ cups BBQ Sauce Of Your Liking (I Love Trader Joes Bold & Spicy)

Preparation

Preheat grill.

In a small bowl mix together all the spices: pepper, salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, thyme, and oregano.

Wash and dry chicken thoroughly. Then cut chicken in half, lengthwise. Make sure to remove giblets if still nestled inside.

Brush entire outside of chicken with olive oil. Make sure to coat it well. Then dust with spices.

Grill for 15 minutes. Flip over, brush with more olive oil and grill for another 15 minutes. At the last 5 minutes of grilling, brush chicken with BBQ sauce.

Check chicken for doneness with a meat thermometer if needed.

Enjoy!

just wondering why it’s called “ghost” rubbed? must be a story behind that.
