Description

Kansas City style Pulled Chicken.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ pound Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
  • 1 envelope (about 1 Oz. Packet) Onion Soup Mix
  • ¼ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Distilled Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 4 cups (approximately) Water
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 cups BBQ Sauce (more As Needed)

Preparation

Place chicken breasts in your slow cooker.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk onion soup mix, pepper, vinegar, soy sauce and water. Gently pour over the chicken. Drop in garlic cloves. Cover and cook for 8-9 hours on low heat.

Remove chicken breasts from the liquid, set aside and allow them to cool. Shred the chicken breasts until you reach the desired consistency. Mix in BBQ sauce or serve alongside.

Very good, never thought of using onion soup mix for pulled chicken. It gave it wonderful flavor. I’m guessing I could make pulled beef this way too.
