Description

Classic creamy, garlicky chicken pizza on easy, pre-made naan.

Ingredients

  • 1 head Garlic
  • Olive Oil, Enough To Drizzle Over Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • ¼ cups Half-and-half
  • 2 whole Store-bought Naan
  • 1 whole Rotisserie Chicken Breast, Chopped
  • ¼ whole Red Onion, Sliced
  • 1 whole Small Tomato, Chopped
  • ½ cups Mozzarella Cheese

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Trim off the top of the head of garlic (just enough so the interior cloves are exposed) and place the head in a sheet of aluminum foil. Drizzle with olive oil, wrap tightly, and place in oven. Roast until garlic is soft, about 1 hour.

Once garlic is almost roasted, melt butter in a saute pan over medium heat. Slowly add flour, whisking constantly until combined.

Slowly add half-and-half, adding enough to create a thicker sauce texture without becoming too runny. You may have to add up to additional 1/4 cup to reach the desired consistency. Carefully, squeeze roasted garlic cloves out of the peel and into the sauce and stir to combine. Then remove pan from heat.

Put naan on a baking sheet. Assemble pizzas by spreading sauce evenly on each piece of naan, then top with chicken, red onion, tomato, and cheese.

Place in oven and bake until crust is golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.

Enjoy!

With some tweaking, this recipe turned out quite delicious. I doubled the recipe (except the garlic) for our family of four. The garlic sauce was much too thick, so I had to thin it out with some milk. The sauce was still very tasty and spread well on the naan bread. I carmelized the red onion and turned the broiler on for about 1.5 minutes to lightly brown the cheese and tomatoes. Will definatly make again!
