Description

This is a carb lover’s dream! If you love garlic bread with your spaghetti, then this is the recipe for you! Picking up some pre-shredded cheese and prepared pizza dough cuts your prep time in half at least! Kids LOVE this meal and so do all the grown ups. Just make sure you use a great homemade or good quality store bought sauce. The better the quality, the better the taste!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Prepared Pizza Dough
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted, Divided
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Salt
  • ½ pounds Spaghetti, Cooked To Al Dente
  • 2-½ cups Prepared Bolognese Or Marinara Sauce, Warmed, Divided
  • 1-½ cup Grated Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Parsley, For Garnish

Preparation

Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Spray pizza pan with non-stick cooking spray. Spread pizza dough out to 16-18” across. Place on prepared pizza pan.

Brush crust with 1 tablespoon melted butter and the garlic salt, concentrating on the edges. Bake crust for 8 minutes. Mix cooked spaghetti with 2 cups of prepared sauce. Once crust comes out of the oven, brush edges with remaining 1 tablespoon melted butter and top with coated spaghetti. Spoon on remaining 1/2 cup of sauce to keep pasta moist and then top with grated cheese. Bake 2-3 minutes more until cheese has completely melted. Remove from the oven and cool 5-10 minutes. Top with parsley if desired. Cut into pieces and enjoy!

A local pizzaria makes this but I haven’t had it since my college days. I was so excited to try it at home. The family agrees – YUM! Thanks for sharing. (I used just garlic powder so that may take care of the salty issue someone else wrote about)

Cute concept, but SALTY. I’d halve the garlic salt and use unsalted butter, if I was to make it again. But my family wasn’t interested enough in it for me to try it again.

I made this last night for my family. My son really enjoys eating pasta. The idea of using spaghetti as a topping for pizza was just something that I had never thought of doing. I’m glad you did! It was delicious, especially the crust. I made a thick homemade crust that was outstanding with the butter & garlic salt mixture spread on it. It was like having a piece of garlic bread with every bite of spaghetti!

A definite keeper in my house. I was intrigued by the concept, so I made it that day. It was absolutely delicious. I did use homemade pizza dough, because i didn’t have any pre-made. I think this would also be good with “pizza” toppings. My family loves it, which in my book makes it a perfect recipe!
