These fish tacos are made with tilapia. They are easy to make and quite delicious.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE RUB:
  • ½ teaspoons Seasoning Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Ground Cumin
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Chili Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Paprika
  • _____
  • FOR THE SAUCE:
  • ½ teaspoons Lime Zest
  • ⅓ cups Light Sour Cream
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic
  • ½ whole Lime Squeezed
  • ½ teaspoons Paprika
  • 2 dashes Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Chili Powder
  • _____
  • FOR THE ASSEMBLY:
  • 5 whole Flour Tortillas
  • 3 whole Tilapia Filets
  • 1 cup Cabbage, Broccoli, Carrots, And Cauliflower Mix

Preparation

In a food processor add all of the sauce ingredients and process until well blended and set aside.

Combine all of the rub ingredients.

Heat a medium sauce pan with olive oil over medium heat; rub the tilapia with the rub mixture on both sides. Cook each filet on each side for about 3 minutes and then use your spatula to crumble the filets. Cook for an additional minute.

I’ve never been a huge fish fan, which is unfortunate seeing as how I’ve lived in south Florida less then a mile from the ocean my whole life. lol. But this might be the recipe to turn me around…I think I’ll give it a try!

DELICIOUS! The sauce was bright and limey. I used broccoli slaw mix as the topper and passed some sliced fresh jalapeños for heat, and it worked great. Even my “I HATE fish!” kid ate two!

YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY! These were SO good! My kids (3 & 7) gobbled them up, and I LOVED the sauce! I also used broccoli slaw (no cabbage) instead of the mixture suggested for convenience. But ohmigosh. I’m actually making these tonight (we first made them 2 weeks ago) at the request of my 7-year-old fish taco loving daughter!
