Description

Sweet, salty, and savory!

Ingredients

  • 1 package Store-Bought Pie Crust
  • 10 ounces, weight Goat Cheese, At Room Temperature
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • 14 whole Black Mission Figs, Cut In Half
  • 5 slices Prosciutto (cut In Strips)

Preparation

- Preheat oven to 400*F.

– Press room-temperature dough into tart pan, getting as close to edges as possible (circle or square is fine).

– Trim off extra dough with a pairing knife.

– Cover the tart pan with parchment paper and place pie weights on top.

– Bake in over for 18-20 minutes.

– Remove parchment paper and weights and return to oven for additional 5 minutes.

– Reduce oven to 350*F.

– In a medium sized bowl whisk together goat cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, thyme, and cayenne pepper.

– Pour into tart shell.

– Arrange sliced figs in decorative way on top of egg/cheese mixture with the cut side facing up.

– Lay slices of prosciutto on top.

– Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until egg mixture is completely set in the middle (stick a knife in it — if it comes out clean, it’s done!).

Yum! I love figs, I just don’t know where to find them.
