This is a quick, easy meal for when you are in a hurry. Just throw a few ingredients together and you’re done.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey
  • ½ cups Diced Onion
  • 12 ounces, fluid Beef Gravy In A Jar
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas & Carrots
  • 24 ounces, weight Prepared Mashed Potatoes (from Refrigerated Section)
  • ¼ cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Preparation

1. Brown ground turkey and onion in an oven proof skillet.
2. Add gravy, peas and carrots to mixture. Heat throughly, stirring occasionally.
3. Microwave mashed potatoes 2-3 minutes, until warm
4. Spread mashed potatoes over meat mixture, leaving about a 1 inch border between edge of skillet and potatoes.
5. Broil for 3-5 minutes in oven.
6. Removed from oven and sprinkle with cheese. Let sit for about 5 minutes, then serve and enjoy.

Delicious! I made it when I needed comfort food… during a huge winter storm so I had enough time on my hands to make the mashed potatoes & gravy from scratch. I added a clove of garlic to the turkey & onion and doubled the veggies. So easy and so good!

This was a huge hit with my husband!! He had three helpings. I made the mashed potatos at home and used ground chuck instead of ground turkey; otherwise, everything else was the same. Great weeknight comfort meal!
