Description

What to do with leftover turkey or ham? Try hot dinner roll sandwiches!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SAUCE:
  • 2 sticks Butter, Melted
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon Or Country Style Mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Onion
  • 2 Tablespoons Poppy Seeds
  • _____
  • FOR THE SANDWICHES:
  • 2 packages (12 Oz. Package) King's Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls
  • 1 pound Shaved Ham Or Turkey
  • ½ pounds Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • ½ pounds Shredded Swiss Cheese

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325F.

Mix sauce ingredients and set aside.

Slice rolls horizontally as a unit; don’t break apart into individual rolls. Put the bottoms in a 9×13 dish.

Lay meat on top. Cover with cheese. Pour 2/3 to 3/4 of sauce on top of the cheese. Place tops of rolls on top.

Pour remaining sauce over the tops of the rolls and spread evenly.

Bake for 15-20 minutes. Watch closely—if the tops begin to brown too much, place a sheet of foil over the top.

I made these for my Christmas Eve family get together – they were gone in minutes!! This is added to my list of regulars. Thanks for the recipe!

We do oven ham sammies too (what Carla said) and it is the best thing for those nights when you just can’t figure out one more thing to cook up, and frankly, you just don’t want to! LOL. I think I may have to refer to this over the weekend, after a day of holiday decorating. :)

Isn’t this the same recipe as the “Oven Ham Sammies”?

Looks like it is just doubled. They are good.

These little sandwiches are SO good! I only use one stick of butter which I don’t think takes away from how good these taste. A perfect match for these sandwiches is a bowl of butternut squash soup. Awesome for a quick dinner.

These were really delicious, and easy to scale down for just me. I didn’t have dried onion so i used thinly sliced green onion in the sauce and it worked great. These would be great for a game night or baby shower.
