Description

These are so easy to make, and yet so tasty. Serve on a warmed tortilla, or a bowl of rice with black beans. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds Pork Tenderloins
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Pressed
  • 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1-½ cup Cilantro, Snipped
  • 1 cup Salsa, Use Any Variety
  • ¼ cups Chicken Broth
  • ¼ cups Tequila (or Beer Works Too)
  • 1 can (4 Oz. Size) Chopped Green Chilies
  • 1 whole Orange, Juiced
  • 12 whole Flour Tortillas, Warmed, To Serve

Preparation

Place pork in the crockpot. Sprinkle with garlic, oil, salt, pepper and cumin. Top with cilantro, salsa (I like to use Chi-Chi’s Original), broth, tequila, green chilies, and orange juice. Cover and cook on low for about 6–8 hours. Shred pork with two forks and continue to cook until heated through.

Serve on a tortilla with shredded cheese, sliced avocado, red onion, tomat , lettuce and fresh cilantro. Enjoy!

So good! I used a 5 lb boneless pork loin roast with salsa verde and a quartered jalapeno. Cooked about 10 hours (not by design) it was perfect.

Very delicious, incredibly tasty the only problem I had was it had a little more liquid than it needed and that was a touch difficult to get rid of other than that? perfect!

One of the BEST meals we’ve had in FOREVER!! Can’t wait to fix it again and again!! Made sweet corn salsa and cilantro lime rice with it and you couldn’t get much closer to Chipotle than that!!

I made these yesterday for my family, along with some cilantro lime rice. Everything was wonderful. Only thing I altered was the presence of alcohol or beer, didn’t have any on hand, but it turned out full of flavor just the same. Thanks for a successful Sunday Slowcooked meal.
