Quick addendum: I did add two chipotle peppers to the mix and they added a nice spicy flavor.

Wonderful recipe. I made this with Guinness stout and omitted the green pepper (we don’t like those) and served up on potato rolls. Will definitely add to favorites!

I made this last weekend and it was absolutely mouth watering. As you state, there is alot of sauce left over. The meat was so tender and moist. What was left over (which wasn’t that much), I just put a little of the sauce over the meat which kept it moist for leftovers the next day. My husband raved about it and told his co-workers how good it was. Thanks for a great recipe!

This was a very easy, very yummy brisket. My 8 year old step son announced that “this is the best thing I’ve had all week”. If a picky eater like him loved this dish it says a lot. I would like a thicker broth, too. I served both BBQ sauce and pan drippings on the side and everyone agreed that the pan drippings were so much better. Thanks for the recipe!

This was very good. If I was just basing it on flavor, I would have given it 4 mitts *would have liked the broth a little thicker* – adding that 5th one because it was SOOO easy! It was great over rice.

This makes a yummy sandwich. The meat was very tender and the sauce had a good flavor. I added a Tblsp of chili powder to give it a bit of spice. I was surprised that the sauce was more the consistency of broth than a barbeque sauce, but it didn’t detract from the flavor. I just ate t it like a barbeque style French Dip.
