Description

A family friendly spaghetti noodle bake that reminds me of my childhood.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ pound Ground Beef
  • 1 whole Onion, Chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 1 jar (24 Oz. Size) Your Favorite Spaghetti Sauce Or Equal Amount Of Homemade
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 package (8 Oz. Size) Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Cottage Cheese
  • ⅓ cups Sour Cream
  • ¼ cups Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 12 ounces, weight Dried Egg Noodles, Cooked In Salted Water
  • 4 whole Green Onions, Sliced
  • ¼ cups Green Pepper, Diced (optional)
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, Grated

Preparation

Brown meat with onion and garlic and season with salt and pepper. Add spaghetti sauce and sugar and simmer about 10 minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix softened cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream and Parmesan cheese.

Cook noodles, drain and add to cheese mixture. Stir in green onions and green pepper if using. Add additional pepper to noodle mixture if desired.

Place noodles in greased 9×13 dish. Top with meat sauce. Top with cheddar cheese. Bake at 350ºF for 20–30 minutes.

This was wonderful! Noodle and chesse mixture adds a new twist to the spaghetti and it is very good! Used a whole 16 oz bag of noddles and a 32 oz jar of Classico sauce. Baked in larger dish. Will make again soon!
