Description

Creamy mild italian sauce over chicken. Wonderfully easy and super tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • ½ cups Italian Dressing
  • 3 whole Chicken Breasts

Preparation

Mix the sour cream and Italian dressing together and set aside. It will taste strong prior to cooking but will be a very mellow mild taste after it cooks. Pound your chicken breast to a more uniform size. This helps the chicken cook more evenly and stay moist.

Shortcut recipe: put chicken in the casserole dish, top with sauce and bake at 350ºF until the chicken is done, about 20 minutes.

Long but tastier way: brown the chicken in a bit of butter for 2 minutes on each side prior to putting them in the casserole dish; top with the sauce and bake.

This was easy and delicious! It took way longer than 20 minutes to cook, though. I think it took about 45 minutes. The recipe didn’t say to cover, but I did for the last 15 minutes because the chicken was taking so long. I even flattened it and browned it first. I will definitely make this again, but will leave myself more time.
