Description

A classic comfort dish that brings back so many childhood memories!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE MEATBALLS:
  • 1 pound Ground Turkey
  • ½  Onion, Finely Diced
  • 1  Egg, Beaten
  • ½ cups Italian Breadcrumbs
  • 1 clove Garlic, Finely Minced
  • ¼ teaspoons Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • FOR THE SPAGHETTI:
  • 1 package Dried Spaghetti Pasta (8-10 Ounce Package)
  • 1 jar (15 Oz. Size) Marinara Sauce
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • ½ cups Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese, To Serve

Preparation

1. Line a large plate with wax paper or parchment paper. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, combine the ingredients for the meatballs. Then using your hands, mix everything together until just combined.
3. Take a tablespoon-sized amount of meat (or larger if you like larger balls) and shape the meat into a ball and place it on the prepared plate.
4. Once you’re done making all of the meatballs, wash your hands with soap and bring a pot of water to boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
5. While your pasta is cooking, cook the meatballs. In a large skillet over high heat, add some olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs and sear them until there is a nice browned crust. Then turn the heat down to low and cook the meatballs until they’re cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Then add in the marinara sauce and let it simmer with the meatballs until pasta is done. Add salt and pepper to taste.
6. When pasta is done, drain it well. Then add it to the skillet. Stir to coat the pasta with the sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes more.
7. Serve the pasta, sauce and meatballs hot with freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top.
