This is a great twist on a classic stroganoff! Very delicious, too!
In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
Remove bacon, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings.
In the drippings, cook the chicken and onion.
Add broth, seasonings and bacon.
Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Combine flour and sour cream, add to the skillet.
Bring to a boil, and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
Serve over rice or noodles.

I made this tonight and it was great. I chopped the bacon before I fried it and didn’t drain any of the grease. I added some fresh mushrooms to the chicken and onion. I didn’t measure the broth, sour cream, or flour….I just eyeballed it. It had a great flavor , was quick and easy, and my family really enjoyed it. Thanks!

This dish was really bland (which really surprises me because of all the cooking with bacon and the bacon grease). You definately need to add more spices to it (especially salt, it enhances the bacon flavor so that there is a flavor). My husband rated it as a 3, but once he added more salt to his plate he bumped it to a 3.5. If I would have added mushrooms to it, he would bump it to a 4. It’s a great low-carb meal since he’s diebetic so I guess I’m going to have to play with it a bit so that I enjoy it as much as he seemed to.
