Description

I found this recipe looking for a good chicken soft taco recipe. The sauce really makes this, and it’s truly quick. You can substitute shrimp for the chicken and it is just as good. You can also double this recipe as many times as you like.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE TACOS:
  • 2 teaspoons Chili Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Cumin
  • 1 clove Minced Garlic
  • ¼ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 whole Boneless Chicken Breased, Cubed (or 1 Pound Shrimp)
  • Flour Tortillas, To Serve
  • Coleslaw Mix, To Serve
  • FOR THE SPICY SAUCE:
  • ¼ cups Sour Cream
  • ¼ cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Cilantro, Chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic, Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha Sauce
  • Salt And Pepper

Preparation

For the tacos, mix the spices and olive oil together and toss with the chicken. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.

While chicken is marinating, mix all the sauce ingredients together.

Heat a fry pan on the stove to medium high and add the marinated chicken. Since it’s cubed it will only take a few minutes to cook, 3-5 minutes. Toss the chicken periodically. Cut one of the larger pieces in half to check doneness.

Warm tortillas. Top with chicken, coleslaw mix and a healthy drizzle of the sauce. Serve with Spanish rice and sliced avocado. Enjoy!
