In a skillet heat up olive oil over medium high heat. Place chicken breasts in the hot pan and cook until they are done all the way through and have a nice golden brown appearance. This will take 5-6 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the chicken.
While the chicken breasts are cooking, place the tomato sauce, basil and garlic in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer until chicken breasts are done.
Put the chicken breasts in a small casserole dish, cover with approximately 1-2 tablespoons of sauce and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Place in the oven under the broiler, for only a few minutes, until the cheese is hot and bubbly.
Place 1 cup of pasta each on 4 plates, divide the sauce evenly among the pasta. Place the chicken breast over the sauce.
