Description

A great chicken casserole with Rotel tomatoes and a crust of nacho cheese Doritos.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked Chopped Chicken
  • 1 can Cream Of Mushroom
  • 1 can Cream Of Chicken
  • 1 can Rotel Diced Tomatoes And Green Peppers
  • 1 pound Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 8 ounces, fluid Sour Cream
  • 1 whole Onion, Chopped Fine
  • 1-½ cup Water
  • 1 bag Nacho Cheese Doritos

Preparation

Crush Doritos in the bag. Place 1/2 of the chips in a greased casserole dish. Mix chicken, both soups, Rotel, sour cream, onion and water together. Place in casserole dish. Cover with rest of the chips and cheese. Bake until warm and bubbly.

Fixed this for dinner tonight. Had to try to cut the recipe in half since it was just DD and myself. Used 1 can of chicken soup, 1/2 can of rotel, about 2/3 of a bag of Doritos…and halved the rest of the ingredients. DD loved it which is saying alot because she’s not a fan of new foods.

This is definitely going on our “must have again” list. Thanks Aunt Sarah!

This was delish! I used the spicy doritos and added in a can of kidney beans to bulk it up a little. Hubby and 3 kids ate every last bite!

Very good! I left out the sour cream because my husband hates it, and it was still wonderful!
