Description

Easy and yummy pasta dish. You can customize it to your liking by adding any veggies you wish!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Penne Pasta (or Any Shape You Like)
  • 8 slices Bacon
  • 1 pound Chicken Breasts Or Tenders
  • 1 bag Frozen Broccoli Florets - 16 Ounce Bag
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil, Divided
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ½ cups Heavy Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • ½ cups Shredded Italian Cheese Blend
  • ¼ teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes (more Or Less To Taste)
  • ⅛ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Black Pepper

Preparation

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions. When pasta is done, drain it and return it to the pot. Set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon slices until crisp. While bacon is cooking, cut chicken into bite size pieces. At the same time, microwave broccoli according to directions on package.

When bacon is cooked, remove it from skillet and set aside. Drain grease and return skillet to stove. Add one tablespoon of olive oil and heat slightly. Add chicken and cook until done, about 7 to 9 minutes.

While chicken is cooking, cut cooked broccoli into bite size pieces. When chicken is cooked thoroughly, remove it from skillet. Add remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, milk and heavy cream to skillet. Whisk mixture well and then add flour, whisking continuously. Continue cooking over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes until mixture has thickened. Stir in cheese, red pepper flakes and salt and pepper.

Crumble bacon and add to sauce. Add sauce, chicken and broccoli into the pot with the cooked pasta. Stir well to combine. Enjoy!
