Description

The ultimate in comfort food. If you want to get a picture of this, do it before you tell the crew what you’re making. I say it feeds 6, mine only fed 3.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, weight Package French Fries, I Used The Crinkle Cut
  • 2 pounds Ground Beef
  • ½ whole Onion, Diced
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic - About 2 Cloves
  • 1 cube Beef Bouillon
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • ½ cups Sour Cream, Light
  • 2 cans (10 Oz. Size) Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup (I Used Low Sodium)
  • 3 slices American Cheese, Diced
  • 2 cups Baby Spinach, Diced
  • 2 cups Small Pasta, Cooked According To Package Instructions

Preparation

Bake fries according to package directions until almost done – about 5-10 minutes before totally done. Then remove from oven and set aside.

While the fries are baking, start browning the ground beef, onion and garlic in a skillet over medium heat. Add in the diced bouillon cube, worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and cayenne. Taste – add in whatever makes you happy – salt, pepper, minced onion, hamburger seasoning – how ever you make your burgers. Continue cooking until beef is browned. Drain off grease.

In a large bowl mix together the sour cream, soup, American cheese, spinach and cooked pasta. Add the drained beef mixture to the sour cream mixture and stir to combine.

Pour into a 13×9 pan. Arrange the French fries on top, return to oven to finish cooking French fries (for the remaining 5-10 minutes at the temperature specified on the package – or cook until fries are to your liking).
