Description

Husband-approved dish with cubes of mozzarella stuffed into yummy meatballs!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Block Of Mozzarella Cheese (though You May Not Need It All)
  • 1 pound Ground Turkey Breast
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • ½ cups Italian Bread Crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic (the Kind From A Jar)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasonings
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • ⅓ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese (I Used Kraft)
  • 3 cups Marinara Sauce, Divided Use
  • 12  Slider Buns
  • 6 slices Provolone Cheese (I Split Each Slice In Half For Each Slider)

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
2. Cut the mozzarella block into cubes. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, mix together all of the remaining ingredients except marinara sauce, buns, and sliced provolone. (Note: You may have to use more breadcrumbs. The goal is for the mixture to be sticky, but not ridiculously sticky.)
4. Grease a baking dish with cooking spray and put 2 cups of the marinara sauce into the dish.
5. Get about a golfball-sized chunk of the meat mixture and flatten it slightly in order to place a cube of mozzarella in the center. Gently wrap the meat around the cube of cheese. Place the ball into the baking dish. Repeat with the remaining meat mixture and cheese.
6. When all of the balls are made, spoon the remaining marinara on top of the balls and stick them all in the oven for 30-35 minutes. (It’s totally okay if the mozzarella squirts out of the ball.)
7. When done cooking, serve on slider rolls (or dinner rolls) topped with extra marinara sauce (you should have about 1 cup remaining marinara sauce) and a slice of provolone cheese (or mozzarella). Enjoy!

This sounds great! But we need your help. Would you go into the ingredients list and add in the specific size (in ounces) of the block of cheese? If you’ll enter the line as follows, this will ensure that folks get the right amounts of the packaged items when/if they use our system to multiply the recipe: 2 – cans – Cream of Chicken Soup (10 ounce cans)…

Also, would you add the slider buns, provolone, additional marinara, etc into the ingredients list?

When done, click ‘make recipe visible’ and ‘save’ and we’ll get this posted.
Thanks,
TKNanci

These were amazing! Easy and flavor packed. I used Hawaiian rolls for the sliders, great combo with the provolone. Thanks for sharing!
