Preheat your grill to medium low heat.
In a small bowl combine sugar, salt, chipotle powder, cumin and pepper.
Place soaked plank (see note) on preheated grill. Close lid and allow the plank to heat for about 3 minutes. Turn the plank over with your tongs and place salmon on heated side of plank. Close the lid and grill for 12-15 minutes.
Remove salmon from grill and drizzle with honey. Serve immediately.
Note: The instructions for the cedar plank indicate it should be soaked in water for at least 15 minutes. Make sure you get cedar that is made specifically for cooking. Some hardware stores sell cedar wood but it may have been chemically treated and could harm you if used in cooking.
