Description

A spicy, Buffalo-style marinade for chicken or wings. Grill and serve, or use for sandwiches, tacos, salads, or wraps.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE MARINADE:
  • ¼ cups Frank's Red Hot Sauce
  • ¼ cups Olive Oil
  • ¼ cups Honey
  • 1 whole Lime, Squeezed For Juice, Or 3 Tbsp. Lime Juice
  • 2 teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Or Onion Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • FOR THE CHICKEN:
  • 6 whole Large Chicken Breasts, Cut In Half

Preparation

Whisk marinade ingredients. Reserve 1/4 cup for brushing over the chicken when grilling. Pour the rest of the marinade over chicken in a resealable bag. Marinate in the refrigerator at least 2 hours or overnight. Remove chicken from fridge and let sit at room temperature 20–30 minutes.

Preheat grill to medium heat. Grill chicken 10 minutes per side until cooked through. Brush with reserved sauce on all sides while grilling.

Use this marinade recipe to make Buffalo Chicken Wings. First, bake 2 kilograms (about 4 1/2 pounds) chicken wings on a greased sheet pan for 1 hour at 300ºF. Pour sauce over top. Then grill wings on BBQ over medium heat, or bake an additional 30 minutes at 400ºF.
