Description

A very quick and delicious pizza “casserole” using a biscuit crust that puffs up and gets gooey cheesy bits deep down between for a luscious bite every time! Picky kid approved!

Ingredients

  • 1 package Grands Biscuits, Each Biscuit Quartered
  • 1 can Favorite Pizza Sauce
  • 1 package Italian Sausage, Browned And Drained
  • 1 package Pepperoni Sticks, Chunked Up
  • 2 cups Mozzarella/Provolone Cheese Blend

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick spray. Add the biscuit quarters and spread out evenly, points up.

In a skillet, heat up the pizza sauce, cooked sausage and pepperoni. (if adding any other ingredients, like onion or mushrooms, do now)

Add half the warm mixture over the biscuits. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese. Add rest of pizza sauce mixture. Spread out evenly and top with remaining cheese.

Bake for 45 minutes-1 hour or until biscuits are puffy and cheese is bubbly and browned on top and middle biscuits are cooked through.

Just wondering if you can freeze this recipe before cooking. I am trying to find a good recipe for a recipe exchange.

I made this last night and it was really good, especially if you like “deep dish” pizza. It’s really easy to make and I consider it a “keeper.”
