These were delicious and easy to prepare. This is a good dish to serve company as it can be prepared ahead. We served this with a green salad and crusty rolls…yummy.

This was very good, easy and would make a great party or large gathering dish (if doubled or tripled). All in all a great recipe.

Very easy what I like. I did have to lower my temp to low medium was too high for my stove and only cooked for a little over an hour. Still very tender and lots of flavor. Very good.

YUM! i have made this three times now since it got added to my recipe box and it turns out better each time as i keep tweaking the recipe to our taste. make sure to pound the meat thin, and don’t rush the simmering!

I just wanted to say that sounds just like the Bracioli recipe my Nunni used except she would add some chopped up bacon in the filling. Thank you for bringing back a wonderful memory.

How big should the pieces of round steak be? lbs? inches? Looks delicious but we really want it to turn out right!

I used about a pound of round steak, and I would estimate the pieces were about 6″ long and about 1/4″ thick – the thinner the better, so that it will be easy to roll up. I hope you enjoy it!

Great recipe!! Made just as written…didn’t change anything.

Thanks! We hope to try it out this weekend!

Tried it and liked it!

Looks great, I’ll try this, have you baked it before? I wonder if that would be better for me than watching it on the stove for 2 hours.

ccsick – I have never baked it before. I’m sure it would be okay, as long as it is submerged in sauce and cooked on a low temperature. You could also throw it in a crock pot!

I remember my mom making these very similar to the way you do … I know when I make these they are going to be everything I want. Nice to see a written recipe.!!
