Description

This is a very quick meal to toss together. You can also use thinly sliced deli ham, shrimp or even grilled chicken. Sometimes I’ll toss in some mushrooms too.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, weight Bow Tie Pasta
  • 1-½ cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 pound Fresh Asparagus, Trimmed And Cut Into 1-inch Pieces
  • 3 Tablespoons Water
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 6 ounces, weight Thinly Sliced Prosciutto Cut Into Strips

Preparation

Cook pasta according to package directions.

Meanwhile in a small saucepan, bring cream to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered for 6-7 minutes or until slightly thickened.

Place asparagus and water in microwave safe dish. Cover; microwave on high for 3-4 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain.

Drain pasta and place it in a large serving bowl. Add the cream, asparagus, Parmesan cheese and prosciutto, toss to coat.
