Bourbon Chicken like you get at the mall. A sweet and savory sauce with hints of bourbon, brown sugar, ginger and garlic and a little kick at the back of your throat.
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, onion, bourbon, vinegar, and chili flakes; stir until sugar has dissolved. Pour over chicken in a 9 x 13 baking dish and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 1 hour, basting every 20 minutes with pan juices. Serve immediately with pan juices over cooked rice.
