Description

My husband’s new favorite recipe! They have so much flavor. The beans make it lighter than a normal burger.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Lean Ground Turkey
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Onion Flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Taco Seasoning
  • ½ teaspoons Cumin
  • ½ teaspoons Corriander
  • 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Black Beans, Drained And Rinsed
  • ¼ cups Fresh Cilantro, Chopped
  • 1 whole Jalapeno, Diced And Seeded
  • 4 slices Provolone Cheese
  • 1 whole Avocado, Peeled And Pitted
  • ¼ cups Mayonnaise
  • ½ whole Lime, Juiced
  • 1 pinch Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Fresh Cilantro
  • 4 whole Pretzel Hamburger Buns

Preparation

Heat your grill to medium heat.

In a large bowl mix together ground turkey with seasonings, black beans, chopped cilantro and diced jalapeno. Form into 4 even sized burger patties.

Put patties onto the hot grill. Cook patties for 8-10 minutes per side. With about 1 minute before you remove them from the grill, place 1 slice of provolone cheese on each patty, close the grill and allow it to melt. Remove them from the grill to a clean plate.

In a food processor, blend avocado, mayo, lime juice, salt and minced cilantro. Set mayo aside.

Toast pretzel buns using your preferred method. Spread avocado mayo on both cut sides of the bun and set burger between. You can serve with tomato and lettuce if you would like.
