Description

This will be messy, and you will love it.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Yellow Onions, Chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 pound Beef (80% Lean/20% Fat)
  • 6 ounces, fluid Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup Beer (I Used A Stout)
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Cummin
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Sauce (such As Sriracha)
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 8 whole Hot Dogs
  • 8 whole Buns

Preparation

In a large pot over medium high heat, allow the olive oil to get hot but not smoking. Add the onions and cook until opaque, about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and the beef and cook until the beef is cooked through, about 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients (other than the hot dogs and buns) and allow to cook until thickened, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.

Place warm hot dogs in buns. Spoon chili over warm hot dog. (Top with cheese, if desired.) Enjoy with a cold beer.

With football season right around the corner, I know I’ll definitely be trying these out! LOVE incorporating beer into food.

This was so good. We made it for dinner last night. Ate more than we should have. Had to stop. Delicious. We added a bit less black pepper but that was the only change. Yummy!
