Description

Tangy and smokey pizza that comes together in a snap.

Ingredients

  • ¼ pounds Bacon
  • 1 whole Chicken Breast
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • ½ cups BBQ Sauce
  • 1 whole Batch Of Frozen Or Homemade Pizza Dough (enough For One Large Pizza)
  • Cornmeal, For Sprinkling On Your Pan
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 3 whole Green Onions, Chopped

Preparation

Dice the bacon and cook it in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Then drain it on a plate lined with paper towels. Set aside.

Cook the chicken in a frying pan over medium high heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Cook until it’s no longer pink in the middle—about 3-5 minutes on each side. Slice the chicken into bite sized pieces and set aside.

Put the BBQ sauce in a small bowl. Grate or finely mince the garlic into the BBQ sauce, stir and set aside.

Thaw out your frozen dough or use your favorite recipe to make enough dough for one large pizza. Click on the related blog link for my favorite recipe. Flatten dough into a large circle on a pizza peel or baking sheet that you’ve sprinkled with cornmeal.

Assemble pizza: Spread the garlic infused BBQ sauce onto the crust. Then top with the chicken, add cheese, bacon and green onions.

Bake at 400 Ffor about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is crispy on the bottom.

Enjoy!

I have never thought of putting bacon on bbq chicken pizza. I love bacon and this sounds delicious. Will have to try it.
