Description

A family favorite!

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, weight Box Of Thin Spaghetti Noodles
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1  Large Onion, Chopped
  • 26 ounces, fluid Jar Spaghetti Sauce, Whatever Kind You Prefer
  • Salt And Pepper
  • Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • 2  Eggs
  • 5 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • ½ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 cups Cottage Cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 F. Boil a pot of water and cook spaghetti according to package instructions for al dente.

Meanwhile in a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and onion and cook until meat is no longer pink. When meat is cooked, add in the jar of spaghetti sauce. Season with salt and pepper and add red pepper flakes if using.

In a bowl combine eggs, melted butter and Parmesan cheese. Set aside.

When spaghetti noodles are done, drain off the water and combine spaghetti and egg mixture.

In a large bowl combine spaghetti, sauce and meat mixture, cottage cheese and mozzarella cheese.

Spoon into a greased 13×9 dish. Cover with a sheet of foil and cook 40 minutes. Uncover and cook additional 20 minutes.

This was simple and good. Nice and creamy. I put it together the day before and then cooked it the day we ate it, and it was still moist. I did use half ground been and half ground port. I’ll make it again.
