Description

Chicken baked in a delicious honey mustard sauce that tastes great poured over rice. A family favorite! Use the leftover chicken for lunch the next day, sliced and tossed into a salad.

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast Halves
  • 1 dash Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • ½ cups Honey
  • ½ cups Prepared Mustard (I Use Half Yellow Mustard And Half Dijon)
  • ½ teaspoons Dried Basil
  • ½ teaspoons Paprika
  • ½ teaspoons Parsley

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Sprinkle chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste and place in a lightly greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine the honey, mustard, basil, paprika, and parsley. Mix well. Pour ½ of the mixture over chicken and brush to cover.

Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Turn over the chicken and brush with the remaining ½ of the honey mustard sauce.

Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear. Remove from oven. Let it sit 10 minutes before serving.

I used only the honey and mustard mix and the taste was delicious!
However, the chicken was very dry so I would recommend marinading the chicken in the sauce first for a few hours and then baking it for 25 minutes and then baking for an additional 10 minutes after turning over.
A very easy recipe though, thanks for sharing!

I made this for dinner tonight and it was a huge hit! I halved the recipe (chicken and sauce) and cooked it in the Crock Pot for 2 hrs. on high and it came out perfect. I also left out a third of the mixed sauce to use for dipping (my husband is all about the dipping sauces).

Had this for dinner last night and it was a hit, even with my picky husband. I only cooked up chicken breasts since there are only the two of us. I think next time I will make half the sauce.

Simple and delicious. I used half whole grain Dijon and half regular Dijon. I think I might add more herbs next time for a more complex flavor, but it’s a great idea!
